Cars in the Park will be held August 7th from 9:00AM-2:00PM.   Registration will be from 9AM-11:30AM with a registration fee of $20.00. Car show awards at 2:00PM.  Enjoy a day of family fun in the park with Doo Wop music from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s and food vendors.  Proceeds benefit Flint Hills Breadbasket, Manhattan Emergency Shelter, Katie’s Way, the S.A.V.E. Farm.

9am-11am – Free Health Screenings (Medical, dental, diabetes, mental health, vision, hearing, sports physicals, COVID-19 vaccinations, blood pressure, and more)

9am-11am – Healthy Pets (Basic preventative vet care for cats and dogs provided by K-State College of Vet Med.)

9am-1pm – Get Connected (Booths sponsored by community organizations offering services, educational information and volunteer opportunities.)

9am-1pm – Fun Activities for Children & Families (Face painting, outdoor lawn games for families and the Mini-Olympics, featuring the long jump, hurdles, a bean-bag throw, plus a themed art activtiy and more!)

9am-1 pm – Food Distributions (Flint Hills Breadbasket from 9am-12pm (information and breads/pastries), Harvesters 12pm-1pm (quantities limited)

10am-12pm – Free Community Brunch (Provided by Hy-Vee, first come-first served)


Masks WILL BE REQUIRED in buildings where direct health services are provided. Masks and social distancing are encouraged in the outdoor setting.

ATA Bus will be providing FREE RIDES CITYWIDE. Bus will arrive/depart The Douglass Recreation Complex stop on Route 1 (9am-7pm) at :27 and :55 each hour.

23rd Annual Rob Regier Memorial Golf Tournament @ Colbert Hills Golf Course
Sep 17 @ 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Check in opens at 11:00AM with a 1:00PM Shotgun start.

This annual golf tournament honors Rob Regier, a 1988 K-State pre-dentistry graduate who died of cancer at age 26 in 1992.  An awards banquet, featuring a steak dinner and silent auction will immediately follow.  Registration fee is $150/per person ($600/4-person team).  More information is at

September Stroll at K-State Gardens @ K-State Gardens
Sep 17 @ 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Take a September Stroll through the K-State Gardens on Friday, September 17th from 5:30PM-7:30PM.  Enjoy family activities, music, informational booths, garden item raffle, Give A Gnome A Home sale, scavenger hunts for kids and adults, chrysanthemum sale, light refreshments and more.

20th Annual Brad Heyka Memorial Golf Tournament @ Colbert Hills Golf Course

This annual golf tournament honors Brad Heyka, a K-State finance alum who was tragically killed at the age of 27 in 2000.  Proceeds support K-State students in business and cancer research.  An awards dinner will immediately follow around 4:00PM.  Information is available at

Randolph United Methodist Women Fall Supper

The Randolph United Methodist Women will be hosting a Fall Supper Wednesday, October 27th.  Serving will be Curb Side from 4:30-6:30PM at the Randolph Church.  The menu includes Swedish Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes with Creamed Chicken Gravy, Green Beans and a Variety of Pie.   Tickets are $9.00 for Adults, $3.00 for Children K-6 and Free for Pre School.  Proceeds help support the many missions the UMW do each year.

K-State Gardens Poinsettia Sale @ K-State Gardens

The K-State Gardens is having its annual poinsettia sale which benefits The Gardens.

It’s a hybrid event with online sales from November 1-12 with pick up on November 18 and in person sale on November 19 at The Gardens, 1500 Denison, Manhattan, KS between 10:00-2:00 p.m. The plants are grown by K-State horticulture students as a class project. Randolph Lions Club Soup Luncheon

The Randolph Lions Club Soup Luncheon will be held Saturday, November 6th at the Randolph Church.  Serving will be curbside from 11:00AM to 1:00PM.  You will have your choice of Chicken Noodle Soup. Potato Soup or Chili, plus a Cinnamon Roll.   The Free Will Offering goes towards community services such as High School Scholarships and glasses.

Manhattan Kiwanis Club Pancake Feed and Silent Auction @ Pottorf Hall @ CICO Park

Manhattan Kiwanis Club will be hosting their 70th Annual Pancake Feed and Holiday Silent Auction on December 11, 2021 at Pottorf Hall.  They will be serving from 7:00AM until 1:00PM.  Tickets are $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children ages 5-12, if purchased prior to the event.  Adults will be $7.00 and children $4.00 the day of the event.  Children under 5 eat free.  All proceeds benefit over 20 local community projects.
