DESCRIPTION:Accord Hospice of Manhattan will host their 8th annual Camp SOAR to support children in the Manhattan and surrounding areas who are coping with a significant loss through death\, divorce\, or distance on Saturday\, May 9\, 2026. It will take place at A & H Farm in Manhattan from 9 am – 3 pm. “Finding Light\,” the theme for this years’ Camp SOAR will allow for games\, crafts\, fun activities and the opportunity to make new friends and share experiences that will brighten th \nAccord Hospice of Manhattan has several “champions” that have been a part of Camp SOAR throughout the years. The Kiwanis Club of Junction City will be providing lunch this year\, the Optimist Club of Manhattan and Via Christi Village will also provide support. There is no cost to attend Camp SOAR and registration can be done by calling Accord Hospice at (785) 376-0346 or emailing register@accordks.com.

SUMMARY:Knights of Columbus Garage Sale
DESCRIPTION:KofC Council 8488 and the St. Thomas More Ladies will host its annual Garage Sale August 14th and 15th at St. Thomas More Catholic Church located at 2900 Kimball Avenue\, Manhattan\, Kansas. The sale is August 14th from 12 noon to 8 pm and Saturday August 15 from 8 am to noon.  Donations can be dropped off at the church Tuesday August 11th and Wednesday August 12th from 8 am to 7 pm and Thursday August 13th 8 am to noon.  No early sales. All sales are final.\n\nSt. Thomas More Catholic Church has had an annual Garage Sale since 1985. Other than a brief pause during the pandemic\, it has continued. The Garage Sale Team is made up of the Knights of Columbus who do the collecting and set up and the St. Thomas More Ladies who sort and price items acceptable for sale. Any items found unacceptable are discarded.\n\nThe Garage Sale is held by design mid-August. This gives the new or returning college students an opportunity to find quality items at a good price.
