SUMMARY:Knights of Columbus Garage Sale
DESCRIPTION:KofC Council 8488 and the St. Thomas More Ladies will host its annual Garage Sale August 14th and 15th at St. Thomas More Catholic Church located at 2900 Kimball Avenue\, Manhattan\, Kansas. The sale is August 14th from 12 noon to 8 pm and Saturday August 15 from 8 am to noon.  Donations can be dropped off at the church Tuesday August 11th and Wednesday August 12th from 8 am to 7 pm and Thursday August 13th 8 am to noon.  No early sales. All sales are final.\n\nSt. Thomas More Catholic Church has had an annual Garage Sale since 1985. Other than a brief pause during the pandemic\, it has continued. The Garage Sale Team is made up of the Knights of Columbus who do the collecting and set up and the St. Thomas More Ladies who sort and price items acceptable for sale. Any items found unacceptable are discarded.\n\nThe Garage Sale is held by design mid-August. This gives the new or returning college students an opportunity to find quality items at a good price. Once the Garage Sale is finished local charities are given the opportunity to take items at no cost.\n\n\nDonation Items not Accepted: \n\n\nClothing\nExercise Equipment – Electrical/Manual(Treadmills\, etc)\nBed Mattresses\nToddler’s Cribs/Car seats\nFirearms\, Ammunition\, Firearm Magazines\, Swords\, Decorative Knives\nInappropriate Books/Magazines\nUnserviceable Items\nCarpets\nAppliances – Stoves\, Refrigerators\, Dishwashers\nElectrical/Electronic Devices – Crock Pots\, Stereo’s\, Older Model TV’s\nAny Items that Might Present a Safety Hazard \n\n\nFlat Screen TV’s are accepted as long as they work and have a remote. \n\n\nProceeds benefit the Knights of Columbus and St. Thomas More Ladies charities and programs. \n\n\nFor information contact Grand Knight Wade Greif at wdgreif@gmail.com. or KofC Garage Sale Chairman Ed Polley at epolley@cox.net or St Thomas More Ladies Chairman Jo Beckman at Jobeckman54@kgmail.com.  In addition you can call St. Thomas More Church at 785-776-5151.
