McCain Performance Series-Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mississippi, Marty Stuart got his start in bluegrass legend Lester Flatts’ band at the tender age of 13, and by 21, he was recording and touring with Johnny Cash. Across 40-plus years as a solo artist, he has released more than 20 major label albums, scoring platinum sales, hit singles, and a host of honors including five Grammy wins and membership in the Country Music Hall of Fame. Known for their honky-tonk and rockabilly edge, Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives– guitarist Kenny Vaughan, drummer Harry Stinson and bassist Chris Scruggs — are Musicians Hall of Fame inductees.
