Live Free: Jace’s Day 5K & Fun Night
Join in celebration of the memory of Jace Ward, a Wamego native who lost his battle to brain cancer in 2021.
The day starts with the Live Free 5K/Walk/Dog Walk/Kids Fun Run at the Wamego Sports Complex at 7:30 a.m. Register online at www.tough2gether.org or the day of the race.
That night, a Live Free Fun Night will be held at 2201 Columbian Rd. in Wamego! Featuring inflatables, Superheroes, kids carnival games, adult yard games and music! Plus, food, sno-cones for the kids and adult beverages will be available! Admission is $10. Memorial lanterns will be released at 8:30 p.m., and a fireworks display will be held at 9:30 p.m.
The Tough2gether Foundation has, to-date, funded $1.2 million in research for pediatric brain cancer, as well as helping families struggling with childhood cancer, purchasing headstones or urns, and making sure every child gets a chance at a clinical trial, even where travel is necessary.
