Kids of all ages are welcome to this community-wide event. The American Legion Post #17 is hosting “Trunk or Treat” in the Legion parking lot (next to Walmart). There’ll be music, costumes, and of course…CANDY! Come out and have a spooky good time! In the case of inclement weather the event will be held indoors.
Join friends and neighbors to honor the memory of Zoey Felix. Zoey was taken from us on October 2, 2023. She loved mermaids and unicorns.
Registration at 11:00am, with kickstands up at noon. $20 per rider, $5 for passenger, and $20 per vehicle. Food will be available also for a $10 per plate donation. All donations will go the Life House and Zoey’s school for children that need supplies or lunches. A memorial bench is also planned.
Paxico Sacred Heart Catholic Church invites one and all to their Wild West Smoked German Sausage Dinner. You can eat lunch in the Parish Hall buffet style, or get your to-go with their drive-thru take out option (must order ahead, see their Facebook page for details). There will also be bingo, games, raffles, and a silent auction. The church is located just north of the Paxico exit off I-70.
Adults are $15, kids 5-12 are $7, and under 4 eat free. Cash, check, and credit cards are all accepted.

Riley County Health Department (RCHD) will be hosting their 11th annual flu vaccination event, Octfluberfest, on October 12, 2023, from 3:00-6:00 PM! The event will be held at the RCHD Family Child and Resource Center at 2101 Claflin Road in Manhattan. All ages are welcome! Vaccine recipients will be eligible to receive a free bag of popcorn, book, and mini-pumpkin (supplies limited). Each household will also be eligible to receive a $10 voucher for a mini farmer’s market hosted by A&H Farms (supplies limited).
Flu vaccines will be free for everyone uninsured via the CDC’s Vaccines for Children and Section 317 vaccination programs accompanied by a generous grant from the Memorial Hospital Association.
Likewise, there will be zero out-of-pocket costs for those insured by plans that cover vaccines and are contracted with RCHD. RCHD contracts with most major insurers in the region, excluding Ambetter, Cigna,
ChampVA, and TRICARE Prime.
Please bring your ID and, if insured, please verify your coverage and bring your insurance card when arriving for a vaccine. If you would like to complete your paperwork ahead of time, please print off,
fill out, and bring with you the corresponding form(s): Child (Age 0-18) OR Adult (Age 19+).

The Randolph Women In Mission are hosting a Fall Supper to benefit the many missions of the WIM. The meal will be served from 5p-7p, and the menu includes creamed chicken, swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, green beans or corn, a variety of salads, and homemade bread or pie. Adults are just $10, kids K-8th grade are just $3, and preschool children are free!
