Founded in 1975, Actors From The London Stage (AFTLS) is one of the oldest touring Shakespeare theatre companies in the world. Storm Large: musician, actor, playwright, author, awesome. She shot to national prominence in 2006 as a finalist on the CBS show Rock Star: Supernova, where despite having been eliminated in the week before the finale, Storm built a fan base that follows her around the world.

Storm made her debut as guest vocalist with the band Pink Martini in April 2011, singing four sold-out concerts with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Recent engagements include debuts with the Philly Pops, members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the Seattle Symphony, as well as return engagements with the Houston, Detroit, Toronto, and BBC Symphonies; the New York Pops; and the Louisville Orchestra, with whom she recorded the 2017 album All In. In the fall of 2014, Storm & Le Bonheur released a record designed to capture their sublime and subversive interpretations of the American Songbook. Entitled simply Le Bonheur, the recording is a collection of tortured and titillating love songs: beautiful, familiar, yet twisted … much like the lady herself.

The IDDPMI Casa de Dios Church in Junction City is hosting a free Thanksgiving Dinner for members of the community.  The dinner will be held on Thanksgiving Day, November 24th, from 3:30-5:30pm.  Hispanic and traditional dishes will be served, both dine-in and carry-out.  The event is free to all.  The church is located at 424 N Jefferson Street in Junction City.

Humorist Jean Shepherd’s memoir of growing up in the midwest in the 1940s follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas. Ralphie pleads his case before his mother, his teacher and even Santa Claus himself at Higbee’s Department Store. The consistent response: “You’ll shoot your eye out!” All the elements from the beloved motion picture are brought to our stage. It was written for the stage by area resident and popular playwright, Philip Grecian. Brent Sigman is the director for this production.
